SYF '09

I certainly do not know whether i should laugh or cry after hearing the result for harmoc category in SYF '09. All the band got Silver, sadly including NJHB. Well i cant say im not disappointed, as of a fact, i was VERY disappointed (by the result,
absolutely by not the performance). My heart literally dropped when i heard that result.
After all that hardwork, staying back to late at night looking at the lamp flashing from orange to green outside LT1, moving chairs and instruments in LT1, the dreadful auditions, training march camp, etc etc the list goes all the way back to last year. I strongly believe we deserve better. Ok i shall not proceed on to cursing or swearing the judges as i tot i would be.
We really had a very wonderful performance on stage today, and thats the most important. I am really proud to be part of this wonderful performance! NJHB HUAT AH! (haha im so cheena ><)when i reached home i dug out my 'En Armonia' disc and the 1st song was barber of seville. Haha really shocked me how much we changed (for the better!), the starting was SUPER fast, 1st chro playing horns part (there was only 1 horn), the small-note-less running notes lolz. brings back alot of memories. I realised that the result is nothing, insignificant compared to what we have experienced the last countless months (actually not countless, im just lazy to count).
kinda regretted that we only started taking pic on the last few days b4 SYF's training, but i guess unless i have a concussion or wad, these memories will be deeply engraved on my brain. What wslee said was totally true, we might whine alot during the process of training, but when its all over, we will feel the emptiness and longing for it. O yea shld take this chance to thank our most

teachers for their really inspiring speeches and words, and countless (literally this time) brain cells killed for this SYF.

supported NJHB is (YES COUNSIL SHOULD HAVE PREPARED AN ENTIRE BOARD FOR NJHB!) haha, being the only board that has comments 3D wise (due to post-its) and being the first to have comments written out of the poster (i believe), HERES A BIG

Well, NJHB, as we all know ourselves, we are dam zai. The future ahead is bright and theres absolutely no reason for us to be faltered by a tiny speck of silver dust.
Just wondering, if we have gotten GWH, will there be so much emotions invoked in most of us here? Personally i would have celebrated like mad and just felt happy. As econs 1st few lecture states, theres always opportunity cost to everything. By getting this silver, through the comforting of one another, by juniors to seniors or senior to senior or anyway u like to permutate it etc, i believed we forged a deeper bond with one another. It certainly made me treasure what i experienced in harmoc much more.
A few days ago i was still wondering, how many gigs (gigabytes) can a human brain actually hold? I believe my brain has proven to me that it's memory goes beyond measurable bytes, and language fails (or at least my mastery of any languages) to perfectly bring out all my thoughts...

ok. i know i have not been blogging for since god knows when. but today really is a day, that i will never forget, unlikely to forget either, and have to blog about.
woke up at 12 due to a call which hung up right before i pick it (maybe it was a hint...), with mum not at home because she went to pray at bugis there the guan yin miao (which obviously din help what happened to me later). ate my breakfast of mian jian kuey and started thinking if i shld go for the class outing or follow family go visit relative (things will have been different if i chose the other option).
in the end i still went for the class outing which was far far at lakeside... i even took my vectors notes to mug and the train (although i din at all). at sk's house see xc play dota, then the girls come we played 11 pple asshole dai di, which is quite stupid because we din deal the cards but everyone just randomly pick 9 cards for themselves. played hide and seek and was the last team to find the hider (proves my inability to find stuffs). went to jp to eat in subway and went for a movie.
This is when it starts. As the movie was selling out fast, we only got the seat for the 2nd row, which was so near the screen we have to tilt our heads upwards to see it. The movie was "The curious case of benjamin button", a movie which is about a man bornt old and grows young, and is said to have potential to be oscar norminated by my friends. In my opinion it certainly dun fit the criteria to be in my oscar awards because halfway through the movie i was bored enough to play with my handphone abit and a fell abit aslp with my phone in my hands.
my handphone dropped and it took me awhile to realise it and i started searching for it, but its not under my chair. searhed for it with my's handphone light, tried calling it but diverted to mailbox. after movie tried finding again but to no avail.
ok it would have couldnt have been worser than to lose a handphone in a day right? no. guess wad, i took the train, not knowing it was the last one and it terminates at ang mo kio. due to the subway meal and movie, i m left penniless, due to the lost of handphone, im left phoneless too. there was no train and no bus left and in the end, i ran from ang mo kio MRT back to my home. while ky says the distance is less than 2.4km, i took 20 mins to finish this journey. must have really proven how lousy my 2.4 timing is.
after reaching home, i learnt from my mum that she tried to call me at around 9 ( which was about the time that i dropped my handphone.) and it was connected for the 1st time. the 2nd time she called it was offed. so i presume that i was so unlucky that my phone shone due to the call after i dropped it and people behind saw it and took it and offed it. how unlucky can i get huh.
well, i guess it must be some sort of suayness for me to have procrastinated too much for training for my 2.4 timing that im sort of force to run today, but the price of my handphone is abit too high to pay le bah... like wad zw said, our class outing always got things lost, last time is sk's specs, but in the end he found it back, so i certainly hope my phone will be found too...
seriously not a good day for me.

weekends... ends

Hm... looks like i wasted a weekend. Again.
Went to HPB sat morning... which was 99.9% wasted trip. The materials they have in the "library" was all that politically correct stuffs, methods to quit smoking etc, which can all be found via internet... And statistics require like a write in to request for loan...? I really have no idea whats the use of that library =.= (only 1 other person was there when we went there). Checked out with the librarian who asked us to go 4th floor to see if can get the quitline helpers to answer our questions or not... but then... the office has NO PPLE. tried to call the office using the phone outside but all that i tried says "pls record ur msg after the tone~" idiotic. went back to the librarian who helped us check out where the quitline pple are budden she check check, then tell us "oh sry the quitline pple say that they dun let people who are just doing a project to interview them". Fish it lor. totally waste our time @ hpb... except that we got a contact which the librarian told us will help us with logistics if needed. o well.
Was late for the nanyang kindergarden performance due to the stupid trip to HPB. 1st thing i will like to say abt NYGH after entering it: ITS DAM NICE! as in the environment. Very tidy-looking, and buildings look kinda nice with the green glass windows. and yea, their auditorium is comparable to our beloved LT5 (or NAKSPAT). haha ok the main point now. the kids from nanyang kindergarden was really CUTE! as in the performance was not like awesome or wad, but really overflowing with cuteness XD. Especially the nursery kids in the animal costumes, one of them was totally not in the correct mind of performing and walked around exploring the stage, looking at the lights behind. LOL. the most funny thing was that one small boy realised that and tried to pull her back to the performance but, yea failed. heard from the morning shift pple say that one kid actually shouted "hello papa" on the stage and tried to run down to his papa. haha can image that really XD.
Yea that performance was much much shorter than expected and went to KAP to meet up with xc for bball. his pw grp was there doing their WR (which reminds me that i should be doing it like now? -.-) yea after some crappy mapling with the wireless there, while the rest pikaball-ed and rolled marbles across obstacles, me and xc went to find basketball courts to play basketball.
We arrived in 1 conclusion. Clementi citizens (or at least the pple developing that area), Loves. Badminton. Not basketball. they practically had 5 badminton courts in an area and only 1 in a LARGE area where many pple squeezed in it. in the end played bball at some v far place and yea, i realise that lack of exercises make pple NOOB. my bball throwing posture totally sux and only managed to get a few tyco shots in T.T.
Sunday, went to interview the guy we doing on for PW. He is very friendly ^^. and funny when he talked like "tys answers". the interview was rather done in a relaxed atmosphere (i expected that of course) and after that went to KFC with MY to discuss about WR. lets just hope that it will all turn out good ^^
Well, kinda late alrdy, and i still have my part in WR to chiong. together with alot of tutorials which i dun intend to do XD. Haha good luck to me x.x

Its not wrong for pple to indulge in fantasies sometimes, as everyone needs a break from reality.

am, and never shall be until end of promos, be on9 on msn for god knows how long i have been.
I shall restrict myself to at most 30 mins a day to on my com to go on msn, as it proved MANY MANY time to be an extremely GREAT distraction. Yep i lack self-control blah blah, thats y i need to post this to make myself keep to it =).
Of cuz, this restriction is of lower priority than of important discussions on9. i meant, Official Important Discussion. e.g project work.
With this i will also promise to keep my handphone near me and on the volume so that anyone can still contact me via msn or calling =).
Also, not going on msn doesnt mean im not available for crapping so yea, sms-es can still be crap, sms me for a dota game and i might also agree (if im THAT free lol).
Many times I looked at the empty windows. Wanted to talk, but how to? Truly lame to waste my life away like this so might as well dun. Time can be used more productively =)

NDP '08 Rehearsal (from swissotel view!)

Woohoo! Today i practically watched the entire NDP rehearsal from 62 storey high! XD. Took several pics but erm... quality cmi la. =p too bad, it rocks to be live there!
1stly, arrived @ swissotel lobby, took the lift that is sooooooooooooo fast that it practically cleared lv 8~38 in 8 or 9 seconds O_O. and yea the quick change in atmospheric pressure caused my extra sensitive ear to hurt ABIT... to think that normally when i go up from 1st to 8th storey my ear also will get blocked x_x.
Arrived at level 62, the corridor is as posh as any 5 star hotel u can see in Singapore of course, and went into the hotel room my aunt's family booked. the room was dam big, very spacious XD. the view of the city from it is totally AWESOME XDD. and when u look down u literally see specks of pple moving slowly...
Watched the NDP from the balcony, can see the formation by the army quite clearly and yea, the parade is boring from then on. Noticed 3 helicopters on the other side hovering round and round for like hours lol, i pity the pple on it sia. then finally 1 of the helicopter flew close, and past the floating stage for NDP.
Following was the very very fast air display by SAF, so fast that i only took 1 pic of it T.T. and the 21 cannon, in which after 1 boom an echo can be hear like 5 secs later. Wonder what reflected the sound back oO. And the very noisy firing of guns.... with some smoke.
took a picture of the sun-about-to-set, was lazy to wait till it reaches the horizon cuz it'll be blocked by the buildings anyway. My uncle was telling me how polluted the air is as u will be able to see later in the pics, really foggy view on the other end. the IR is still building, and the singapore flyer... did it move?? observed it for minutes and realised that it moves freaking slowly.
As yes, and night falls. The night view of Singapore is the NICEST i ever see. u see all those towers, then cars, streetlamps and beams of light shooting out from the floating stage (shows how polluted the air is)... all fit together to form a very very nice night view. Too bad my SE phone sux in taking night sceneries...
Then, u see the highlight of the night, FIREWORKS! haha its dam nice i tell u. REALLY NICE! being able to see it from the same height as it... and experiencing the loud devastating booms. haha really a must-experience-once-in-a-lifetime experience. u can exclude the part when the smoke drifts to u thou =x. i took a 3 mins long vid of it, but dunnoe how to upload T.T. haha next time see me ask me show u bah.

Mugging or Life

lol the post title sounds like 要钱还是要命 haha, but its true, mugging is killing my life soon ><
As promos are really around the corner... mugging is no longer a thing to be delayed.
Many will say that we can always balance mugging and life. Wow how easy it sounds. but yea, mugging will always have an opportunity cost of missing out many many things in life. Thus the link between mugger and no lifer.
As much as i wish to be a mugger, i wish to have life too. and as much as i wish that i can balance both and live life to the fullest, i cant.
So now i have come to a point, to make a decision between mugging and life. choosing of one obviously doesnt mean total sacrificing the other, but still, its a large part of it sacrificed.
About academic and life :
PW is getting btr, i suppose, as our group's momentum someone came up. yep continue and we'll get an A for PW! jiayous us!
Maths... still lagging behind my class. econs, LOL I HAVENT DO MY ESSAY Q8!. T.T. Physics, Yanndao We Will Miss YOU! Chem, omg i need to catch up on the lectures...
Lifeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
...Lol what else did u expect me to say about life? not on this blog at least.
Maybe i shld flip a coin to decide?
